Alert: Tropical Storm Lisa

Location: Campeche, Chiapas, Oaxaca, Quintana Roo, Tabasco, Veracruz, and Yucatán, Mexico

 Event: The National Hurricane Center (NHC) forecasts that Tropical Storm Lisa will become a hurricane by Wednesday, November 2, and will pass over or near the southeastern states of Mexico. The NHC issued a Hurricane Watch from Chetumal to Puerto Costa Maya and a Tropical Storm Watch from Chetumal to Punta Herrero. U.S. citizens in these areas should monitor the progress of Lisa, follow the instructions of local authorities, and be prepared to seek shelter.
